Pirate Ship Net Constuction

This is a Pirate ship that me and a small group made. We made it by making 3-D shapes and using glue to stick them together.  I think that it looks really cool.  We used clicko to make the shapes and then we took it apart and copied the net onto paper.  then we cut the nets out, made them into their shape and stuck them together.  It took a while, but it looked cool in the end.

Cryptarithms

My Reflection: This is my Cryptarithms overview. It is a form of maths.   Cryptarithms are very tricky because you have to identify the value of all the letters.  Next time I do them,  I will try every single number until it makes sense.

Statistical Investigation

This is my Graph that I made using Google spreadsheet.  First what we did was making a Google form (quiz).  I did my quiz about cricket.  Then we sent it to the class.  Then everyone in the class answered the form.  After that the responses were put into a Google spreadsheet, and made a graph out of it.
This information shows that people in our class like batting more than bowling and fielding.  My next question will be:  Why does our class like batting so much?

Learning to make a Pyramid

This is my pyramid that I made out of paper.  I traced the net (using shapes), cut it out and made the shape. Then I used tape on the top to stick it together.

Learning to Add and Compare Decimal Numbers: The Relay Problem

This is the Relay Problem that we did yesterday.  At the end I worked out that the girls were faster (which in the real world is probably not true).

The Farmyard Problem

This is the Farmyard Maths Problem that I did not long ago.  It was very hard.  To rate the level of how hard it was out of ten, I would give it a 6, 7 or 8.  But finally I worked it out.

Fractions of a Whole: E-Ako Slide

This is a slide from a maths site called
E - Ako.  In this slide,  It was talking about what you can do with whole things.  I like doing E - Ako.

Fractions of a Number

3/4 of 20 = 15

2/5 of 30 = 12

4/6 of 60 = 40

The answers to all of these questions are fractions of a number.  Lately, we have been doing something called fractions of a number.  From the title, you can kind of tell what it means.  I enjoy doing this a lot.  I like to do this more.

Learning to put Data Into a Graph

This is the Haircuts Problem that I did at school a while ago. I didn't really find it tricky because I have done things like this before.  I didn't get any help.  I enjoyed doing it.

E-Ako Fractions Slide

This is one of my E-Ako fraction slides.  I think e-ako is quite educational.  E-ako is also fun.  I enjoy playing it.

The Cricket Maths Problems

This is a maths problem called the Cricket Maths problems.  I really enjoyed it (seeing as I am a bit cricket mad)  and wish to do something like this again.
